Perpetual Bricks was created with the idea of putting unused LEGO® Bricks into the hands of people in need. Our team of volunteers collect, clean and redistribute the donated LEGO®. Our mission is simply to make this awesome product available to those who will benefit the most. We personally know the joy LEGO® can provide and we want to pass it on where it will continue to help others.
Building with bricks develops your brain. It fosters a variety of skills needed for creative thinking and problem solving. The activity molds strong young minds and stimulates cognition at any age. It allows unlimited building possibilities and the opportunity to reimagine and recreate something completely different over and over again.
Our program is designed to encourage, inspire, and challenge the creativity of LEGO® builders young and less young. Any and all LEGO® is appreciated. The more pieces we receive, the more charitable needs we can fill! With your help, the colorful joy that is LEGO® can go on forever!
LEGO® Bricks can’t be recycled and many thrift stores cannot use them. Since the majority of parts contain a mixture of Type 7 Plastic (ABS), placing them in the recycle bin eventually sends them to the landfill.
If your LEGO® bricks are just sitting around without being used or taking up valuable space in storage, why not donate them to a great cause?
By donating LEGO®, you're allowing play, inspiring creativity, developing brains and building hope. You're making people smile!
If you live or work in East Contra Costa County, we are always on the lookout for volunteers. Whether you want to organize a LEGO® collection, assist with deliveries or help us clean, sort and package LEGO® sets, we can always find something for you to do! Please contact us.
Perpetual Bricks is proud to support the community through children's care homes, shelters, foster care agencies and emergency services. We are building a network of deserving organizations. Feel free to contact us with requests for support.
Perpetual Bricks accepts all new and gently loved loose LEGO® parts, minifigs, baseplates and whole or partial sets, including Dots, Friends, Duplo, Technic and Mindstorms. You don't need to pre-sort, but it's helpful to remove any non-Lego items.
Start packing by putting all LEGO® bricks and pieces in plastic bags to prevent spilling if the box rips. Please tie the bags or use zip-lock bags. If sending complete sets, please put each in their own bag. Otherwise, don’t worry about trying to make a complete set. Place bags in one sturdy box or a few heavy-duty boxes if needed. Note

Not yet! Our project began as a way to give back and share the joy of LEGO® with those who would benefit the most. At this time, we aren’t ready to move to 501c3 status. However, we are discussing the possible association with a fiscal sponsor for this project which would allow your donations to be tax-deductible.
Perpetual Bricks aims to partner with the community through shelters, childcare centers, foster care agencies, emergency services and other organizations that reach out to us. We will expand to help many others in need as we grow.
They get an assortment of bricks and elements, allowing endless possibilities for creativity and imagination. The packages we assemble vary with needs and age of the recipients and include a booklet with some great ideas and activities. New sets are earmarked for children's hospitals where used product would not be acceptable.
Send us a message about helping. If you live in the East Bay, you can help us clean, sort and package LEGO® at one of our Sorting Events. If you aren’t local, we'd love your help collecting LEGO®.
We are an independent organization. The LEGO® Group has its own awesome philanthropic programs.
